“…15,30,31 Iwami et al compared the antagonist protocol and PPOS and obtained similar results in normo-responsive patients. 15 Begueria et al performed a non-inferiority trial to compare MPA and GnRH antagonist with regard to the number of mature oocytes retrieved in oocyte donation cycles, and reported no differences in the number of mature oocytes, length of stimulation, fertilization rate, or quality of embryos between the two treatments. 30 Although pregnancy rates were lower in the MPA group, live birth rates were similar between the two groups.…”

“…It has shown efficacy in normo-responsive patients. 15,16,20 Daily administration of 20 mg DYD was shown to have similar effects to natural progesterone. 16 In comparison with MPA for PPOS, DYD showed similar clinical pregnancy rates, but GnRH suppression was weaker in the DYD group.…”

“…1 Recently, the use of dydrogesterone with the same purpose was also effective in preventing the premature LH surge. 3 However, other types of progesterone have not been tested. Desogestrel is a progesterone that is broadly known and accepted in the context of contraception and that has good tolerability and low cost.…”
