In this paper, we present test result and practical analysis some of interoperability problems for PSTN emulation and simulation services. Before implementing next generation network, it is needed to provide a testbed for testing and evaluating vendor's equipment. ITRC NGN pilot is a testbed that implemented in Iran Telecom Research Center (ITRC) and four vendors have participated in the pilot. The pilot realized that there were many fail in interoperability test area. The Pilot analyzed test result and realized that the problems have been caused by two main factors: some vendors do not implemented standards completely and there are some ambiguities in standards.
