NiFe2O4 Ceramic U-Shaped Sleeve Prepared by Slip Casting and Pressureless Sintering

Abstract: Slip casting and pressureless sintering were used to produce NiFe 2 O 4 ceramic U-shaped protection sleeves for thermocouple in aluminum electrolysis. The stability of slurry, sintering behavior of green body as well as the temperature measuring performances, were investigated in detail. The Zeta potential of slurry was improved effectively by adding 10wt% NiFe 2 O 4 nanopowders and 5wt% nano-binder, and the slurry possessed better sedimentation stability when pH was in the range from 10.0 to 11.0. Green bodie… Show more

“…In this study, on basis of the researches of Bannister, 23 Keski and Cutler, 24 and Woolfrey and Bannister, 25 sintering activation energy of initial stage is calculated according to the linear shrinkage of initial stage. The specific calculation processes were presented in our previous research 26, 27 . Firstly, the curves of ln(Δ L / L 0 ) T against ln C were plotted under three heating rates ( C ), namely, 5, 10°C/min and 20°C/min.…”

The exponent m can be obtained according to −1/(m + 1), which was equal to the linear fitting slope of ln(ΔL/L 0 ) T against lnC.…”
