“…[23,24] Since HR-XPS spectra of S2p recorded in CMPGAs (Figs 6g and 6j) were similar to the case of relatively weak S2p HR-XPS pattern of NS-GA-2 with similar resolve C-S-C peak intensity observed from other reports. [23,24] It primary interpreted that weak S 2p 1/2 finger print peak at 165 eV in Figs 6g and 6j may be reflected from low polymer loading in the GA array as mentioned in Table 1, and strong interaction between S and C in BTZ-Py and GO via C-(SO x )-C bond formation throughout the CMPGA synthesis. In addition to the similar N1s pattern in CMPGAs and pure BTZ-Py, which reflecting the C-N bond from the BTZ-Py molecule (Fig 1) by the presence of graphitic N peak (Figs 6f, 6i, 6o).…”

“…The presence of nitrogen (~400 eV) and weak sulphur (~168 eV) peaks in when compared to pure BTZ-Py (Fig 6n) and other N or S-doped graphene products, [20][21][22] mentioned finding still showed the presence of C-S bonding when compared with literature had C-(SO x )-C structure. [21][22][23][24] This probably arose from the spin-orbit coupling between S and carbon in the CMPGA. [21,22] Comparing with the corresponding pure components (GA ( Fig 6m) and BTZ-Py (Fig 6p)), and other S-N doped GAs, [21][22][23][24] presence of S(0) 2p 1/2 and C-S-C peak in S2p spectra (Figs 6g and 6j) of CMPGAs was similar to the those recorded in the similar sample synthesized in other works.…”

“…Acetophenone and its substituted derivatives are valuable chemicals and successfully utilized in industry for the production of various bulk chemicals, pharmaceuticals, polymers, and agrochemicals . They conventionally produce a large quantity of hazardous and corrosive waste. , In this regard, progress has been made to accomplish this protocol using different homogeneous and heterogeneous based catalysts. Usually, the selective oxidation of ethylbenzene is carried out in two different pathways, one being C–H oxidation of the proton of the aromatic ring and the other the -CH 2 oxidation of the side chain (-CH 2 –CH 3 ) oxidation (Figure ). A literature report indicates that higher yield of acetophenone was obtained in TBHP as oxidant by using gold based catalyst. Recently, Sharma and Kaur reported Au NPs/PS resin catalyst for oxidation of alkyl substituted benzenes with molecular oxygen as oxidant at atmospheric pressure and showed high conversion (>98%) with high selectivity (99%), but it requires a longer time for the reaction …”

“…Aromatic ketones are an important class of intermediates in pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. Direct oxidation of aromatic benzyl compounds has been regarded as an attractive route for the synthesis of aromatic ketones. However, it is still highly challenging for the production of aromatic ketones via direct oxidation of aromatic benzyl compounds owing to the inert nature of C–H bonds and poor product selectivity .…”
