Abstract:Transforming discardable solid waste like polystyrene (PS) foams into commercially useful applications like sustainable and eco‐friendly energy materials has attracted considerable attention. Herein, expanded PS waste is subjected to simple reactions (cross‐linking and pyrolysis) to obtain a high‐performing electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The optimized catalyst polystyrene‐pyrrole (PSP‐800) demonstrates good electrocatalytic ORR activity toward rechargeable zinc–air battery due to its … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
