NMDAR antibody encephalitis and fluctuating catatonia

Abstract: N‐Methyl D‐aspartate receptor (NMDAR) antibody encephalitis has varied presentations and may often be seen in psychiatry because of a range of associated psychiatric manifestations. Here, the authors present a case of prolonged catatonia that occurred in episodes and continued for months before being successfully diagnosed as a cause of NMDAR antibody encephalitis.
