NN Interaction JISP16: Current Status and Prospect

Abstract: Abstract. We discuss realistic nonlocal NN interactions of a new type -J-matrix Inverse Scattering Potential (JISP). In an ab exitu approach, these interactions are fitted to not only two-nucleon data (NN scattering data and deuteron properties) but also to the properties of light nuclei without referring to three-nucleon forces. We discuss recent progress with the ab initio No-core Shell Model (NCSM) approach and respective progress in developing ab exitu JISP-type NN-interactions together with plans of their… Show more

“…The deuteron properties are also very well reproduced by the JISP16 potential [52]. The deuteron ground state (g. s.) energy, which is one of the observables used to fix potential parameters, agrees with the experimental value E deu = −2.22457 MeV for the JISP16 as well as for other NN interaction models.…”

“…A new version of this interaction JISP16 2010 was recently suggested [45]. The JISP16 2010 NN interaction improves essentially the description of binding energies of nuclei with the mass A ≤ 16.…”

“…Phenomenological nucleon-nucleon (N N ) potentials are constructed is close relationship to the empirical facts. In this regard, the most faithful method of construction is inverse scattering theory, which the so-called JISP-16 potentials are based upon [14].…”
