Nodular tracheobronchitis in a patient with lymphoma: an unusual presentation of viridans streptococcal respiratory tract infection

Abstract: Bacterial tracheobronchitis without lung parenchymal involvement is extremely rare in adults, except in patients who are intubated or mechanically ventilated. We present a case of nodular tracheobronchitis caused by viridans streptococci in a non-ventilated lymphoma patient. To our knowledge, this is the first report of viridans streptococcal infection that has caused nodular tracheobronchitis. Please cite this paper as: Lee MA, Shin KM, Lim J-K, Cho SH, Kim HJ, Kim GC, Lee SM and Yoo SS.
