Graphical abstract AbstractGenerally, simulations are used as the first approach to implement a particular system, from simple to complex systems. In the electronic circuit, simulation can be done in order to know the working principle of the circuit. The aim of this article is to design a digital control circuit based on digital IC for cracker drying device. The PROTEUS 7.0 with the student version is used as a simulator tool. The PROTEUS® consists of two software that each of them have a specific purpose, i.e. ISIS® which has been embedded in SPICE® macro model. Thus, able to simulate electronic circuits with an interactive display, and then ARES® is dedicated to PCB layout only. The advantages of PROTEUS® e.g. easy to operate; has a good of user interactivity; Contains a large selection of active components (such as BJT transistors, MOSFET transistors, IC, IGBT, diode, and etc.), passive components such as resistors, capacitors and inductors, components of input and output, and sensor devices from various vendor. The designed control circuit is consist of four main parts, i.e. counter circuit as timer. In this case, we use two digits Sevensegment as clock representative from 12 PM to 12 AM. ii) circuit for controlling the DC motor with CW mode and CCW mode; iii) rain sensor circuit; and iv) light sensor circuit, in this paper we use the Light Dependent Resistor (LDR). This paper is focus on control circuit only.
