Abstract: This paper provides an overview of current Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) challenges for the design of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) for automotive applications. Particular attention is devoted to analytical and numerical methods utilized in NVH modelling.
