Noise Properties of Opto-Electronic

Abstract

Experimental results of the noise properties of optoelectronic receivers used in an analog transmission system are reported. The characteristics of the signal-tonoise ratio versus apd multiplication factor is measured at various photodiodes for the 0.85 μιη wavelength region. The amplifier noise figure influencing the properties of the opto-electronic receiver is investigated.
