Recognition of HLA‐C*03:36 allele in a Taiwanese individual

“…We were unable to perform a family study to deduce the HLA haplotype in association with C*03:36 because of the lack of specimens from the family members of the individual with the allele. However, comparing the HLA typing of the individual identified by us, with that of cells (277 287, AN00667, HG00000750, HN‐01171‐8, NT01922, NT01974) that had previously been reported to the IPD‐IMGT/HLA Database as carrying the same allele, we propose that C*03:36 is possibly on the haplotype HLA‐A*33‐C*03:36‐B*58‐DRB1*01:01 .…”

“…The name C*03:36 has been officially assigned by the World Health Organization (WHO) HLA Nomenclature Committee in February 2007 . The confirmatory sequence of C*03:36 was reported to the IPD‐IMGT/HLA Database (submission number HWS10055747) in August 2019. This follows the agreed policy that, subject to conditions stated in the most recent Nomenclature Report, names will be assigned to new sequences as they are identified.…”
