Discovery of a novel HLA‐C*04 null allele, HLA‐C*04:279N, in a Singaporean individual

“…The nucleotide sequence of the C*04:279N allele was submitted to the GenBank nucleotide sequences database and the accession number KY551534 was assigned. The name C*04:279N was officially assigned by the WHO Nomenclature Committee for Factors of the HLA System in June 2017 2 . This follows the agreed policy that, subject to conditions stated in the most recent Nomenclature Report, 3 names will be assigned to new sequences as they are identified.…”
