Non-Gaussian scattering of light applied to investigation of ruffled surface of liquid

Abstract: Results of experimental investigation of speckle created by the reflection of laser beam from ruffled surface of liquid with limite number of statistically independent scatterers are presented. First order intensity statistics are investigated. Dependence ofhigher order statistical moments on amplitude ofripples is presented. Possible applications are discussed.
