Abstract:We describe methods and software resources for a bioimpedance
measurement technique, “trans-radial electrical bioimpedance
velocimetry” that allows for the non-invasive monitoring of relative
cardiac contractility and stroke volume, proxies of sympathetic cardiac
tone. In addition to describing the general recording methodology, which
requires impedance measurements of the forearm, we provide open source
Jupyter based software (operable on most computers) for deriving cardiac
contractility from the impedance m… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
