Non-Linear Mechanical Analysis of the Composite Overwrapped Cylinder for Hydraulic Applications

Abstract: S u m m a r yThis paper provides a new method for an elasto-plastic analysis of stress and deformation fields in the composite overwrapped cylinder under the pressure load. The cylinder structure consisting of steel liner and composite shell was examined. The non-linear properties of the steel tube, and orthotropic properties of the composite were assumed in this analysis.
