Non-Standard Lagrangians with Higher-Order Derivatives and the Hamiltonian Formalism

Abstract

In this paper, we report a simple analysis of exponential non-standard Lagrangians by including higherorder derivatives up to order 3. It is found that this generalization lead to many new features of the theory in contrast to the standard-Lagrangian formalism with higherorder derivatives.
