Abstract: Background Persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV), also known as persistent fetal vasculature (PFV), is a clinical entity that traditionally presents with leukocoria, microphthalmia, retinal dysplasia, or eyeball shrinkage which is associated with poor vision.
