Non-union of the Clavicle Osteotomy Site in an Infant with Birth Brachial Plexus Palsy

Abstract: Non-union of the clavicle in the paediatric population is extremely rare. Some anecdotal case reports show non-union following clavicle fracture. However, we could not find any report of non-union following osteotomy for brachial plexus surgery. We report non-union of clavicle following its osteotomy for brachial plexus exploration surgery in a 6-month child. We present successful management of the clavicle non-union in this patient and propose preventive steps. Level of Evidence: Level V (Therapeutic)
