The Lanczos recursion method is used to compute individual S-matrix elements for three-dimensional rotational inelastic scattering. A multigrid method is employed to improve convergence and the recursion method is then used to compute corrections to the coarse-grid S-matrix elments. The correction is the product of an overlap factor times the 1,l element of the inverse of a relatively small tridiagonal matrix, which provides 'rescattering corrections'. The convergences of elastic and inelastic probabilities are shown in a series of plots.
