Lightlike chiral algebra is applied to the investigation of the nonleptonic hyperon decays. We use the light-front reduction formula to the decay amplitudes and take the limit q,+ and q,l.--'>0. We do not have to make q,-tend to zero, in contrast to the conventional current algebraic approach.We present dynamical conditions under which the J[=1/2 rule and the Lee-Sugawara relation are obtained. They are represented in terms of the relations among various reduced matrix elements of the weak Hamiltonian.
