Nonlinear curve optimization in digital imaging

Abstract: High dynamic compression of natural scenes and nonlinearity compensation of output devices are demanded as the output devices have limited dynamic range and color gamut, and devices such as Standard-RGB compliant displays and printers have different nonlinear responses to linear inputs.
