Abstract:A nonlinear dynamic model of a rotor supported by the turbulent journal bearing with quadratic damping under nonlinear suspension is presented in this study, and the lubricating oil is assumed to be temperature-dependent. The bifurcation diagrams, dynamic trajectories, power spectra, Poincaré map, Lyapunov exponent, and fractal dimension are used to verify the dynamic characteristics of the rotor-bearing system, and abundant subharmonic, and even chaotic motions are found.
