Abstract:Nonlinear perturbations have significant consequences on excitation of surface waves on overdense plasma. Linear surface modes on overdense plasma appear at specific frequencies of the incident wave. By nonlinear considerations, however, this phenomenon takes place for frequencies different from frequencies of the linear regime. Here, to study the nonlinear effects on the modifications of the proper frequencies of exciting the surface modes, we consider the framework of the warm electron-fluid model and Poisso… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
