In this case, well-developed histological changes of acute py elonephritis were present despite 2 weeks of appro priate antibiotic therapy, and similar findings have been noted in other cases [2,3,8], This accords with the slow and incomplete resolution of renal failure seen in this and other cases [2-4, 7, 8], and suggests that a prolonged course of antibiotic therapy is necessary when acute pyelonephritis is complicated by acute renal failure.…”
