Nonparametric multidimensional fixed effects panel data models

Abstract: Multi-dimensional panel data sets are routinely employed to identify marginal effects in empirical research. Fixed effects estimators are typically used in order to deal with potential correlation between unobserved effects and regressors. Nonparametric estimators for one-way fixed effects models exist, but are cumbersome to employ in practice as they typically require iteration, marginal integration or profile estimation. We develop a nonparametric estimator that works for essentially any dimension fixed effe… Show more

“…As early as the 1970s and 1980s, scholars have conducted research on seasonal migration in winter due to the cold climate (Krout, 1983). Since the 21st century, extensive discussions have been conducted on the motivation and decision-making of elderly tourism (Jang & Wu, 2006;Kim, Wei, & Ruys, 2003), elderly care policies (Skelley, 2004), rural migration models (Henderson & Akers, 2009), and restricted factors (Fleischer & Pizam, 2002). With the further strengthening of globalization, population mobility has become more frequent, especially with the rise of positive aging mindset, researchers have gradually deepened the issue of elderly tourism & dwelling into the elds of cultural identity (Kim, Wei, & Ruys, 2003), demand hierarchy (Huber, 2019), and equality of rights (Liew, Hussin, & Abdullah, 2021).…”
