Nonparaxial Focusing of Partially Coherent Gaussian Schell-Model and Bessel-Correlated Beams in Free Space

Abstract: The nonparaxial focusing of partially coherent beams in free space has been studied using the coherent-state and coherent-mode decomposition methods. Analytical expressions for the width and angular divergence of partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams have been obtained using the coherent-state method.
