Nonretinal Ocular Complications of Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

All structures of the eye are susceptible to the deleterious effects of diabetes mellitus. Early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus, identification of ocular abnormalities, and patient education can mitigate many of these effects.
