Abstract:The article discusses the influence of ‘North Atlantic’ youth justice policy and practice on nation states in central Europe both within the European Union and those that may be wishing to join in the future. There is particular emphasis on how the concept of risk and the hegemony of the ‘risk factor prevention paradigm’ can influence practice.
