Abstract:Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive interstitial lung disease associated with aging. The pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis remains unclear, however, alveolar epithelial cell injury, myofibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation are recognized as key contributors.
