“…The solvent accessible pore volume comprises 43.7% of its unit cell volume as calculated by Platon. The overall double-layered geometry of complex 1 was similar to a previously reported structure that was constructed from TCPP linker and sodium ion, which represents a seldom seen architecture in MPFs ( 7 , 8 ). Moreover, there are the N-H…N and C-H…O hydrogen bonds in the packing structure.…”

“…Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a class of porous crystalline materials that are constructed from judiciously designed multi-dentate organic linkers and discrete metal ions/clusters ( 1 , 2 ). Due to their structural diversity and tunability as well as their promising applications in gas storage/separation ( 3 , 4 ), chemical sensing ( 5 ), heterogeneous catalysis ( 6 , 7 ), and biomedical usage ( 8 ), etc., MOFs have attracted tremendous research interest in the past two decades. Among the vast family of organic ligands used in constructing MOFs, porphyrins are a family of biologically relevant tetrapyrrole macrocycles ( 9 , 10 ).…”

“…This reaction produces free ·OH radicals that interact with AUR to create oxidized AUR. Based on previous reports, the concentration of ACh in body fluid is extremely low, generally in the nanomolar range [ 34 , 35 ]. Thus, AUR was exploited instead of other peroxidase substrates to monitor the presence of ACh since it can produce a very sensitive, highly fluorescent product (AURox).…”

“…Since the peroxidase-like activity of CoAC to oxidize employed substrate is promoted by H 2 O 2 , the ACs were then employed to detect H 2 O 2 dissolved in sample solution. To achieve higher sensitivity, another peroxidase-mediated substrate, AUR, which is also widely used for the peroxidase-mediated reaction at around neutral pH condition, was employed in this assay system [ 28 ]. Through the typical reaction condition described in Experimental section, fluorescence intensity by the oxidation of AUR was specifically observed with both CoAC and H 2 O 2 while other control cases exhibited negligible fluorescence intensities, indicating that CoAC displayed high peroxidase activity with AUR as a substrate ( Figure 5 a).…”
