“…The known band gap value of bulk TiO 2 is ∼3.2 eV, but the previous reports and our experimental observations (see the Supporting Information Figure S1a) suggest that the band gap of 2D TiO 2 -NS is found to be ∼3.53−3.6 eV, which might be due to the quantum confinement effect. 32,34 The band gap of poly(DMcT-CC) (∼3.04 eV) thin films coated on FTO was obtained from the Tauc plot of UV absorption spectra and shown in Supporting Figure S1b. The HOMO and LUMO levels of the Poly(DMcT-CC) are calculated to be about −3.74 and −6.8 eV, respectively from the UPS spectra (see Supporting Information Figure S1c for further information).…”
