The proposed technique BUEET is introduced mainly for two major reasons such as (i) RSU broadcast the emergency messages and the energy status to the vehicles without any interruption. It helps to shake hands with the neighboring node for energy sharing and (ii) RSU boost up the energy efficiency level with the help of energy sharing by the adjacent vehicles. Most of the self-organizing protocols in wireless sensor networks considers only initial energy consumption phase and neglects the maintenance phase of topology. The vehicles are cooperatively interacted to form a reliable network structure. RSU’s are placed in the roadway infrastructure and On-Board Units (OBU’s) are placed in the vehicles, then the communication takes place with the help of these devices. Therefore, this provides the clear roadmap structure by receiving the information from various sources of vehicles. If the information received from the RSU is not relevant to the vehicles then it automatically transmits the information to the adjacent vehicles travelling in the highway. The adjacent vehicle checks the information and transmits to another vehicle if it is relevant. Therefore, the proposed method considers two parameters such as packet transmission and energy efficiency on NS3 simulation. Packet transmission among the vehicles plays a vital role in the proposed technique and the nodes without any route breaks and the loss of connection leads to a strong network. Energy efficiency is analyzed and compared with other existing schemes; in result it is proved that BUEET’s energy efficient is higher in all the nodes. It helps to communicate among the nodes without energy loss. When the energy among the nodes in the network is high, then the performance of the nodes also good. The maximum number of Hop’s helps to transmit the information without any delay.

The use of wireless sensor technology in various Internet of Things (IoT) applications is growing rapidly. With the exponential increase of smart devices and their applications, collecting and analyzing data is gradually becoming one of the most difficult tasks. As sensor nodes are powered by batteries, energy efficiency is essential. To that intention, before passing the final data to the central station, a sensor node should reduce redundancies in the received data from neighbor nodes. There will be some redundancy in the data because different sensor nodes typically notice the same phenomenon. Data aggregation is one of the most important approaches for eliminating data redundancy and improving energy efficiency, as well as extending the life time of wireless sensor networks. Furthermore, the effective data aggregation technique might help to reduce network traffic. In this paper we have proposed cluster based data aggregation using intelligent agents. The performance of the proposed scheme is compared with Centralized Data Aggregation (CDA) mechanism in IoT.

Currently, the world witnesses a boom in the sensing‐based applications where the number of connected devices is becoming higher than the people. Such small sensing devices are now deployed in billions around the world, collecting data about the surroundings and reporting them to the data analysis centres. This fact allows a better understanding of the world and helps to reduce the effects of potential risks. However, while the benefits of such devices are real and significant, sensing‐based applications face two major challenges: big data collection and restricted power of sensor battery. In order to overcome these challenges, data reduction and sampling sensor adaptation techniques have been proposed to reduce data collection and to save the sensor energy. The authors propose an orchestration‐based mechanism (OM) for adapting the sampling rate of the sensors in the network. OM is two‐fold: first, it proposes a data transmission model at the sensor level, based on the clustering and Spearman coefficient, in order to reduce the amount of data transmitted to the sink; second, it proposes a sampling rate mechanism at the cluster‐head level that allows searching the similarity between data collected by the neighbouring sensors, and then to adapt their sensing frequencies accordingly. A set of simulations on real sensor data have been conducted to evaluate the efficiency of OM, in terms of data reduction and energy conservation, compared to other exiting techniques.
