NOVO REGISTRO DE LEUCISMO EM Vanellus chilensis (Molina, 1782), NO SUL DO BRASIL

Abstract: RESUMOO leucismo é uma mutação cromática que bloqueia a síntese de melanina e provoca a perda da pigmentação nas penas das aves. O presente estudo descreve um novo caso de mutação em Vanellus chilensis. Um indivíduo adulto que apresenta leucismo parcial na coloração da plumagem no dorso e asas.
