Proton states in193Ir and195Ir populated via the (?) reaction

“…The log ft values of 6.0-7.2 for the/Ldecay from the ground state to the 1/2-, 3/2 and 5/2-states of ~gsPt suggest that the ground state of 19Sir has the same spin-parity, 3/2 + , as the lighter iridium isotopes [25]. It is reasonable to assume that the first prominent peak observed in the present pick-up reaction populates the ground state.…”

“…Since there is no other information available on this isotope than the present experiment and a /Ldecay study [25], it is difficult to propose Nilsson assignments. However, the excitation energies for states lower than ~ 600 keV have been found to vary smoothly from one isotope to another from 189_<A_<193 as shown in Figure 4.…”

There have been no other complementary experiments to aid in the interpretation of 195Ir except for a fi-decay measurement [25]. However, 191Ir and a93Ir have been shown to have very similar properties [7J and the present spectra for 193Ir and 195Ir are very much alike, so an extrapolation from t93Ir to 195Ir has been attempted.…”
