“…In recent years,many works on electrohydrodynamic enhancement of boiling heat transfer have been carried out [1][2][3].The EHD enhancement of heat transfer is a new and promising active technique.In fact,the phenomenon of enhancement on heat transfer of EHD has been known for almost 80 years,but people did not pay much attention to it.In 1960 Bochirol [4] reported the first quantitative studies in this field.As the increasing requirement of heat transfer for small temperature difference in energy utilities such as ocean thermal energy conversion plants,geothermal energy plants,solar energy plants and similar plants using the organic Rankine cycle,more researchers have paid much attention to the EHD enhancement of heat transfer.In order to explain the mechanism of EHD-enhancement boiling heat transfer,much effort has been made to study bubble behaviors in the presence of an electric field.Many investigators use small orifice to inject bubble instead of boiling bubble because of the coupling complexity of temperature field,velocity field and electric field in the boiling process [5][6][7].A few investigators [8,9] used statistic way to investigate the characteristics of the boiling bubble in the electric field.…”
