Nucleotide Biosynthesis Links Glutathione Metabolism to Ferroptosis Sensitivity

Abstract: Nucleotide synthesis is a metabolically demanding process essential for cell division. Several anti-cancer drugs that inhibit nucleotide metabolism induce apoptosis. How inhibition of nucleotide metabolism impacts non-apoptotic cell death is less clear.
