Numerical analysis of Walters-B fluid flow and heat transfer over a stretching cylinder

Abstract: Two-dimensional hydromagnetic flow and heat transfer of Walters-B fluid towards a stagnation point region over a stretching cylinder is discussed. Constitutive equations are transformed into dimensionless form by means of suitable similarity transformations. Spectral quasi-linearization method is employed to obtain the solution of similarity equations. Comparison of computed results with existing results in the limiting case of a flat sheet is also provided. Analysis of obtained results is performed through gr… Show more

“…In this regard, initial contributions of Rajagopal et al [1], Kaloni and Siddiqui [2], Cortell [3], Pontrelli [4], Vajravelu and Roper [5] and Ariel [6] concerning deforming surface induced viscoelastic fluid flows has led to the publications of numerous research articles on the topic. Refer to the recently published works of Jafarimoghaddam et al [7], Raees et al [8], Majeed et al [9], Ahmad et al [10],…”

“…Abdul et al [1] studied analytically the effect of Walter's liquid B fluid through an impermeable stretching sheet with radiation and viscous deformations. Two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic Walter's liquid B fluid over a stretching cylinder is investigated by Majeed et al [2]. Analytical solution for Walter's liquid B fluid through a stretching cylinder is analyzed by Hussain and Ullah [3].…”
