Numerical and experimental study of the formation and penetration of an LSC jet in different initiation manners

Abstract: The formation and influence of initiation manners on a linear-shaped charge (LSC) jet were studied through experimentation and numerical simulation. An X-ray was adopted to observe the formation process of LSC jet, and simultaneous axial stretch and edge expansion were observed in the formation.
