Numerical and Experimental Study on Suppression Effect of Acoustic Black Hole on Vibration Transmission of Refrigerator Compressor

Abstract: The acoustic black hole (ABH) structures have the potential to achieve structural vibration suppression and noise reduction through the effect of the ABH on the concentration and manipulation of flexural waves. In this paper, a new solution is proposed to embed 2-D ABHs on the support plate to suppress the transmission of compressor vibration to the refrigerator body. The vibration and acoustic measurement experiment of the compressor, the support plate and the refrigerator body, and the coherence analysis of … Show more

“…In addition, the characteristic that acoustic black holes can gather energy is also applicable to vibration suppression. Du et al [15] proposed a new solution to embed 2D ABHs on the support plate to suppress the transmission of compressor vibration to the refrigerator body. Liang et al [16] focus on the mid-and low-frequency performance of plates embedded with the array of an ABH for energy focalization and vibration and noise suppression.…”

“…In our previous research, the vibration suppression effect of the acoustic black hole on the refrigerator rectangular support plate has been analyzed [7]. On this basis, the effects of different acoustic black hole parameters and damping layer parameters on the vibration reduction effect of the rectangular support plate of the refrigerator were further analyzed in this paper.…”
