Numerical identification of the elasticity tensor of heterogeneous materials made of Silicon Carbide and Titanium by the Finite Element Model Updating (FEMU)
Abstract:This work is subjected to the development of a method to identify the elasticity tensor of homogeneous and heterogeneous materials. The materials are created in the form of checkerboards. We solved the direct problem to obtain the strain field using the finite element method, after obtaining this strain field, we created synthetic experimental displacement data by simulation. A re-calibration of the created experimental and simulated data is done based on the principle of the finite element model updating (FEM… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
