Abstract:The tubes in heat exchangers are usually loosely supported and are vibrated by fluid. The interaction between tubes and supports caused by the fluid induced vibration (FIV) is influenced by different factors. In this work, a finite element code is established to investigate the interaction between tubes and supports. The comprehensive influence of clearance, tube offset and pre-load is studied by analysis of the contact parameters such as contact forces and displacements. The results show that the change of sl… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
