Abstract:Fused-Deposition Modeling (FDM) is a commonly used 3D printing method for rapid prototyping and the fabrication of plastic components. The history of temperature variation during the FDM process plays a crucial role in the degree of bonding between layers. This study presents research on the thermal analysis of the 3D printing process using a developed simulation code. The code employs numerical discretization methods with an implicit scheme and an effective heat transfer coefficient for cooling. The computati… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
