Numerical modeling of cohesive sediments dynamics in estuaries: Part I—Description of the model and simulations in the Po River Estuary

Abstract: SUMMARYThe present work contributes to the numerical modeling of complex turbulent multiphasic fluid flows occurring in estuarine channels. This research finds its motivation in the increasing need for efficient management of estuaries by taking into account the complex turbulent stratified flows encountered in estuaries and costal zones.
