Abstract:Jet breakup and fragmentation are important phenomena to be well understood during a core-disruptive accident of sodium-cooled fast reactors. The three-dimensional two-phase lattice Boltzmann model developed previously by the authors is improved in numerical stability used to simulate the hydrodynamic process of melt jet breakup. Nonorthogonal central moments is successfully introduced into the model. Numerical simulations of FARO-TERMOS experiments demonstrate the enhancements in stability of the present mode… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
