Numerical solution of MHD, Soret, Dufour, and thermal radiation contributions on unsteady free convection motion of Casson liquid past a semi‐infinite vertical porous plate

Abstract: In this paper, the unsteady motion of Casson liquid over a half‐infinite penetrable vertical plate with MHD, thermal radiation, Soret, and Dufour contributions have been explored numerically. In the physical geometry, the Casson liquid flows to the layer from the penetrable vertical plate. At the layer, Casson liquid is set into motion and the flow equations are illustrated using coupled partial differential equations (PDEs). This set of PDEs is simplified to form dimensionless PDEs with the use of normal nond… Show more

“…Investigation of heat transport along a slanting porous surface has importance in the production of paper, drawing of glass, plastic film, wire drawing etc. Reddy et al, [19] by considering the numerical solution of MHD, Soret, Dufour, and thermal radiation contributions on unsteady free convection motion of Casson liquid past a semi-infinite vertical porous plate. MHD free convective flow past a vertical porous plate in the presence of radiation and heat generation was studied by Mangathai et al, [20].…”

“…Prabhakar Reddy et al [ 51 ] enforced the finite element numerical procedure to highlight the effects of diffusion-thermal on the mixed convection reacting unsteady MHD Casson fluid in the direction of an oscillating porous plate. Recently, Reddy et al [ 52 ] utilized a numerical technique to prospect the combined persuade of radiation and Soret-Dufour’s parameters on natural convection MHD unsteady flow of Casson fluid via a semi-infinite vertical porous surface.…”

“…Sitha et al 23 studied the presence of viscous dissipation in mixed convective MHD flow over a porous surface in vertical position. Veera et al 24 considered the combined effect of Dufour-Soret on MHD flow over semi-infinite porous plate. It can be observed clearly from the literature that although several studies were reported on Casson fluid flow, very little consideration is taken in to account for the flow of Casson fluid upon a vertical surface through porosity with radiation effect and under the impact of the magnetic parameter.…”
