Abstract:This paper provides a comparison between the conventional Electromagnetic Forming (EMF) technique and the novel Electromagnetic Hydraulic Forming (EMHF) approach. The EMHF involves the use of finite element analysis coupled with the EM and arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian techniques analyzed through LS-DYNA. In the free-bulge configuration, EMF is influenced by the forming coil, resulting in a dead zone and uneven forming.
