Numerical Visualization of Blast Wave Interacting with Objects

Abstract: Blast wave interaction with objects has gained attention due to military conflict and terrorist attack across the globe. Blast wave attenuating and mitigating structures are needed to be developed to protect the military vehicles and commercial buildings. In order to understand the attenuating mechanism such as the dissipation and dispersion along with the secondary effects, the blast wave interacting with three objects is examined in the present study for the diaphragm pressure ratio of 56. Here, the blast wa… Show more

“…В роботі [6] досліджено взаємодію вибухової хвилі з різноманітними об'єктами. Помічено, що круглий диск послаблює вибухову хвилю ефективніше, ніж конус і сфера для тієї ж фронтальної області.…”

“…Luan et al (2018) simulated the flow field of a shock tube with a small exit nozzle. Dey et al (2018) used a shock tube to investigate the interaction between the shock wave and three objects, namely, cone, sphere, and circular disc. Barik et al (2020) used a shock tube and studied the effect of bending pre-strain and pressure on the forming behavior of AA5052−H32 sheets.…”
