Abstract:Within the framework of the applied shell theory, an energetically consistent resolving system of equations is formulated and a complex numerical method is developed that allows solving both quasi-static and dynamic problems of nonlinear non-axisymmetric deformation and loss of stability of composite cylindrical shells within the framework of an explicit variational-difference scheme. The reliability and accuracy of the proposed method are justified by comparing numerical calculations with experimental data. F… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
