Abstract: Bacterial biofilms are highly adaptable and resilient to challenges. Nutrient availability can induce changes in biofilm growth, biomass, morphology, architecture and mechanical properties. Bacterial extracellular matrix plays a major role in achieving biofilm stability under different environmental conditions.
